Welcome to NJ Fitness! Where those of us that need the motivation to lose the pesky pounds can find it. I’m not going to lie. I’m overweight. So this blog is as much for ME as it is for YOU.
What will you find here? The real life struggles of a 30 something woman trying to lose her love handles and extra lbs. What you won’t find here? Supermodel 6 pack abs… at least not anytime soon. If you want to follow those individuals that have either NEVER had a weight problem, or those that have already made it to their goal weight… By all means go right on ahead. Here… I’m just starting my weight loss journey. I lost weight after returning from veterinary school, but gained it back during my residency. Now I’m trying to get my body back and my health back on track.

I started my Friday with shoveling snow, ended it with walking the Nut. This morning we went for a mile run to take in the snowy weather and fresh air. Whatever it is that you chose to do, get out there and DO IT!
Have to go above the ground floor? Consider taking the stairs! Headed to the market? Park further away to increase your steps. Also consider the hand baskets to do some arm work outs while shopping for tonight’s dinner. You may even make better food choices! I know I do.
Good luck and stay active! Even consider inviting a friend to join in on your weekend activities to encourage yourself to stick to it! It’s always more fun with friends – of the furry variety or two-leggers like me!
