Nattie & Hazel Nut's Adventures

Sunshine in the Summertime

Lately we have been getting random moments of summertime sunshine. Some days Hazel Nut & I are able to take advantage of these moments, and others not so much. Last night we were able to fully enjoy a quiet moment on our pond that we’ve called home for the last year. In 2 weeks we’ll be packing up the car for are next adventure! But until then, we have decided to make the most of the sunny days with a few more outings on the SUP.

While both Hazel & I have SUP plenty of times… it’s been on a foam board, and in the presence of friends. On the pond we’re exploring uncharted territories. Largely because Hazel doesn’t seem to get along with our neighbors – 4-leggers or their human counterparts…. AND there are creepy creatures that lerk in the waters depths.

For example… my board was “stuck” temporarily along the shoreline…. Nothing above the water’s surface seemed to be snagging it… but something below tried to keep us staying put.

But we made it out!

And we made it across the WHOLE pond for the first time since buying the SUP! I’ve been a ninny about the inflatable SUP board… and the worry that Hazel will pop it while we’re far out. Um – PLEASE – don’t.

We even got to enjoy a view of the sunset from our board.

Soph would have hated the SUP… but she’s with us in every sunset that we encounter 🙂

Until the next adventure,

XO
