Nattie & Hazel Nut's Adventures

Cabo San Lucas: ONE tequila, TWO tequila, THREE tequila, FLOOR!

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

That beautiful beach front tourist destination where tequila over flows, and the sun always shows.

Cabo San Lucas is an amazing tourist trap. But a tourist trap none the less. The second you walk off the plane you will be surrounded by locals and residents trying ot sell their wares, or trying to get you to their resorts, vacation rentals, tourist trips, and escapades.

I know. Because I reaped a whole lotta benefits from that tourist “walk of shame” – which is no walk of shame. It’s actually a walk of adventure. Having already lived and visited many countries that thrive off of tourism, I knew what to expect…. To a certain extent. For newbies it can be a bit… overwhelming. But I worked the system, flaunting my tourist side and happily agreeing to sit through a marketing ploy in efforts to improve my vacation getaway.

It was, after all, my birthday trip. HOLLA!

So I sat through the marketing ploy, refused the buy-ins, and walked away with my free gifts and activities. A fun week to be had by all. 🙂

I mean a girl only turns THIRSTY THIRTY once! PARTY!

While in Cabo, there are plenty of things to do, or not do. I spent a total of 8 days on the Baja California coastline. I did a combination of nothing and everything. I ate, drank, slept, sunned, swam, zip-lined, and danced away the week. It was by far one of the greatest weeks I’ve spent during my travels.

There’s a little bit of everything for everyone in your party. Just step off the plane, and out of your comfort zone a little… Beach. Sunshine. Bar hopping. Snorkel tours. Boats. And lots of TEQUILA!

Snorkel Tours:

Nothing quite like enjoying that beach life…

Most snorkel tours will at some point will take you passed the famous rock arches. The Arch of Cabo San Lucas. Some may even take you right up along it. Others will pass it in the distance.

Mine didn’t get quite that close. However, I did get to snorkel around other beaches and enjoyed the boat party all the same.

Whichever tour company, location, or destination you choose. Make sure to enjoy it. Several of the companies require that you remain sober for certain portions of your tour in order to participate in their activities. So don’t blow it just to continue your tequila fetish. The tequila will keep flowing, and the boats don’t stop pouring until you are back to the port. So enjoy the main part of your cruise, and then drink up while enjoying the ride back.

Zip-Lining:

Away from the coastline shores exists a set of canyons within the desert that serves as the terrain for the zip lining course. And, as always, after flying across the canyon you will lunch with tequila, wine, and spirits.

This zip lining course was my first experience like this. Man was it wild. I always thought of zip lining through the rain forests, and vineyards (hellllllooooo central coast!). However, the desert was fun too!

But don’t forget. These different outdoor activities are just that… outdoors. There’s a lot of sun, heat, and exercise. Since zip lining requires gravity to work FOR you… a lot of climbing up the hilltops in order to then fly across them.

BRB: Beaches, Resorts, and Beyond!

Cabo being apart of the western coastline of the continent has some of the most gorgeous sunsets. Whether you chose to see them from the tourist locations, the beach front bars, or the comfort of your beach front resort is up to you. Just don’t forget to take a moment to enjoy them wherever you are!

Here’s hoping your trip to the Baja coast is just as enjoyable!

Happy Travels,

Nattie
