Beach Days continued… Cali Style

Last week we posted about beach days in Grenada. The original beach day fun. This week we bring you the beaches of California.

Avila Dog Beach:

Avila Dog Beach is located in Avila Beach, California along the Central Coast. They have an entire beach front allocated to four legged creatures and their mates. My girls loved traipsing along the waters edge… but they didn’t always play nicely with others. :/

The benefit of a dog beach is… they are dog off leash friendly. The down side: Not all the dogs are friendly together.

There is also the concern of FLEAS and stepping in poop from owners that do not properly take care of their counterparts. But water, sun and fun definitely go well together all along the coast.

Mammoth Mountain: Lake beaches

One of my summers I trekked with a friend to Mammoth mountain. We enjoyed summer hiking on one of the trails and fetch along the water front. Aren’t these views incredible?

The views were great… but the area was a bit too commercialized for me. I’m for the sleepy mountain side community I’m used to with Running Springs, CA. Only problem is… these views are not found in Running Springs, Smiley Park area. But the girls and I still enjoyed our weekend adventure in the woods, smelling the smells, feeling the sun shining, and breathing in the fresh mountain air.

Sometimes it’s good to do retrospective posts. It’s reminding me of where I’ve been… And helping me to be grateful for my life experiences.

What adventures have you been on along your journey of life? Come back next week for more adventures!!
