Back at it: NJ Marathon Prep 2.0
Well folks… it’s sunshine time in the summertime. And with that comes the motivation of all to lose weight and get in SHAPE.
For me that means renewed motivation to finally conquer my all time life goal of running a marathon. Let’s be real. My actual original goal was to run the NYC marathon. But this girl is WAY more realistic as an adult compared to the travel lusting teenager of my younger days. Back then I thought New York City was a big, far away dream. Nowadays it’s a favorite place to get caught up in the splendor of it all… but I also have larger dreams.
Like travels that include my passport. And finding happiness in a world of such turmoil. But mostly getting stamps in my passport…. except they don’t stamp them anymore – ruuuuuude.
But alas. Let’s focus. This entry is all about how I’m starting over. I have a renewed sense of commitment to my once thought lost dream. But now I have come to 2 conclusions:
1. I will make it to my marathon this time.
2. I will cross that finish line even if it’s walking that sucker.
I don’t have a particular race planned yet. But I’m just barely getting started. One mile down. 25.2 to go!
Ordinarily I would be upset at my time. But since my latest accident I’m less harsh on. myself and more thinking of how to just support myself in this endeavor. Tune in for marathon training tips, tricks, trials and tribulations.
