Bondi Beach!
Since we landed in Sydney fairly early in the day, and with PERFECT weather… we opted to enjoy the sun and beach. We train/bused to the AirB&B. Dropped our bags and ran out the door to catch our next train, to catch the bus that would take us to BONDI BEACH BABY!!
I was soo excited we were able to make it to this part of Sydney. Given all the other things on the list and the proximity of Bondi to the walking tour (see previous blog post) we did through Sydney I didn’t think I would be able to make it to Bondi Beach. But we DID! YAY!
I loved Bondi. The mural wall was beautiful. The strip of restaurants, bars and shops along the beach front were cute. It was almost like we walked into this sleepy beach town with a lil rebellious side lingering just below the surface.
The sunshine was perfect, the sky was blue (one of the few blue blue sky days of the trip). The day really was calling for some walking along the beach and sunbathing.
The water had definitely turned colder… or maybe I’m just spoiled with Caribbean Sea water that is always warm! But the beach was clean, and the weather similar to my California days. It was bittersweet reminiscing to have wind blown hair with a mixture of saltwater in the air.
I was pleasantly surprised that despite the rainy weather of the trip I was able to still get some sunshine touched skin. I missed my sunkissed tans of my California days. In New England I’m definitely already losing that sunny glow as the weather is back to gloomy. But looking back to these pictures I can smile at the memories made.
Bondi Beach. I almost left it off my list. Definitely worth making it a priority.
Happy Travels,
