Nattie & Hazel Nut's Adventures

Finding a new foothold in the New Year

Boy oh boy. Since returning back to California I’ve been dormant. Not only have I been writing less, but I’ve been living less. I wish I could blame the ‘rona for it… but let’s face it. I’ve just been unsettled and lost a lot over the last couple of years. Between career crisis exploding, to living arrangements changing, to trying to get settled into the new school I’ve been ALL.OVER.THE.PLACE.

But as 2022 has started to take shape, I’m working on reclaiming my life. I’m critically evaluating aspects and making decisions for my future and the betterment of my current daily life. Some things are off to a slow start, but this girl has dreams. And I’m working on how to work towards them.

As much as RV life has afforded me the space and time I need to figure out my life and where it’s going… the crap that comes with it is… well, leaves a lot to be desired. In the past 6 months I’ve dealt with a cracked kitchen sink, propane and water heater issues, and the never ending internet issues. My most recent fun has been dealing with water connection drama.

I’m also working through my need to be a couch potato, working more hours, and blast through this grad school program. Can’t do all 3 things simultaneously… Or can you? Hmmm. Let’s see.

In the meantime it’s back to the grind. Midterm prep work is a calling. So is the potential change in work scheduling for tomorrow. And my garden needs work… a lot of work. Fun times.
